GQA Present the IPS international Apprenticeship Awards

GQA CEO, Mick Clayton, was recently invited to be the guest of honour at IPS International’s Annual Awards. Combining the event with a scheduled EV visit  accompanying centre EV, Sean Hayes, Mick was able to see first-hand how IPS work with learners, as centre coordinator and IQA, Joanne Taylor, gave him a tour of the facility in Rochester prior to the evenings celebrations held at The St. Georges Centre in Chatham.

Mick was impressed with the centre and said “Even though it was a whistle-stop tour of the centre, it was evident how the staff at IPS value their relationships with their students and this was further demonstrated throughout the Awards evening”.

The Awards were hosted by IPS International’s Head of Engineering and Manufacturing, Kim Hollands, and Joanne Taylor with Mick presenting the awards to the deserving recipients from across the various sectors that IPS operates in.

Mick elaborated on the Awards “it was a fantastic venue for such an occasion with what was explained to me as an informal gathering being so much more as the venue was packed with IPS students and their families. It was a great honour to be able to address those attending and then present a variety of trophies and prizes.”
